Diagnostic Evaluation

The first step in the management of hearing loss is a complete diagnostic evaluation.
Precision Audiology has experience and special expertise in evaluating hearing in adults, neonates, infants and difficult to test children.

Information obtained from the hearing evaluation assists in planning medical or surgical intervention, selecting appropriate technology (hearing aids and/or cochlear implants) and in making recommendations to improve functioning at school or work.

Individuals throughout their lives have their hearing assessed on the basis of self-referral, family/caregiver referral, failure of an audiologic screening, follow-up to previous audiologic assessment, case history for risk indicators, or referral from other professionals.
